Dr. Kenneth J. Rich

Dr. Kenneth J. Rich

Dr. Kenneth J. Rich specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. He joined Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic in 2013.

His expertise has led him to lecture and teach other spine surgeons across the country, as well as far away as China, London, and Brazil. He’s also worked with several companies to develop and improve the technology, equipment, and procedures used in these neurosurgical procedures.

“We’re out to get a good result,” he says. “That’s our number one priority.”

“We like to fix people. When you see a patient post-operatively and they’re laughing, and they had a good result—that’s the neatest feeling.”

Dr. Rich remains involved in the latest developments by participating in FDA-approved studies, including studies on disc replacement surgeries, spinal stenosis surgeries, and ruptured disc surgeries.

Dr. Rich earned his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed both his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is board certified in Neurosurgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Rich enjoys cooking (often cooking lunch for the entire Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic office), traveling, and working in his garden.
