Sean Russell is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate degree at East Carolina University, double-majoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry, earning Magna Cum Laude recognition in the ECU Honors Program. Sean worked in breast cancer research at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina in Chappell Hill, prior to enrolling in PA school at ECU. Sean specialized in Spine Surgery for 9 years prior to joining Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic in 2023.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys playing soccer, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and 3 daughters.
